This blog is relating to the body type of a mesomoprh, If your body type is a mesomorph, you will tend to have a medium shape frame, and may develop muscles faster and have more muscle than fat on your body.

Mesomorphs are typically strong and solid structure, not underweight or overweight.

Typical Traits on a Mesomorph:
Athletic
Genetically hard body
Well-defined muscles
Rectangular shaped body

The types of Dietary Goals for a Mesomorph

The calorie needs of a mesomorph body type are slightly higher than endomorphs an ectomorphs, due to their higher ratio of muscle mass. Muscle is denser making it weigh more than fat and requires more calories to maintain.

While all body types need carbohydrates, protein and fat, mesomorphs seems to respond better to higher-protein diets. Mesomorphs respond best when their plates are divided into thirds: one-third protein, one-third vegetable (or fruit) and one-third whole grain (or healthy fats).

Including small amounts of protein in every meal helps with muscle repair and building. Using some of the best protein sources which include eggs (whole or whites), chicken, turkey, fish, beans, lentils, Greek yogurt and protein powder.

Carbohydrates are just as important, as the body requires glucose for energy production as well as glycogen after exercise.

You should mix up their carbohydrate choices to include vegetables, fruit and whole grains, such as quinoa, oatmeal and brown rice, these carbohydrate examples provide belly-filling fiber as well as antioxidants and phytochemicals that help repair exercise-induced muscle tears.

Try and ensure you choose from seasonal and colorful fruits and vegetables, to sustain a balanced food intake.

When looking in to what healthy fats you can work with nuts, seeds, avocado, coconut oil and olive oil, as these round out a healthy diet due to containing inflammatory compounds.

Mesomorph body types often can lose weight quickly when following a meal plan that is higher in protein and lower in carbohydrates, and when they are getting plenty of exercise. However, mesomorphs gain weight just as quickly if their eating plans contains too many calories from high-sugar foods.
